We are learning to be accurate measurers. Today, we used our fraction measuring tools to measure how far we made things move in our commonwealth games activities. To be accurate measurers we started our measuring where we stood, left no gaps in between our fractions and made sure our last fraction sheet touched the object.
We had to choose one fraction to use for measuring. 1/2, 1/4 or 1/8s.
We are also learning about forces and movement. We used different types of movements to make our objects travel; flicking, throwing, pushing, blowing and a catapult motion.
We all loved doing frog flicks, spoon flicks, javelin, discus, ball blowing and shotput.
