Fraction Problems

We have been working hard on some fractions problems.
Check out our repeating patterns on our fraction snakes.
We wrote addition and multiplication equations to show our fractions.

Fraction snakes:
The snake has 28 diamonds on its skin.
1/4 are red - whero
1/4 are blue - kikorangi
What could a repeating pattern look like?

Truck Problem:
The truck is taking 16 bricks to the brick shop.
1/4 of the bricks are blue-kikorangi
1/4 are white-ma
The bricks stack on the truck in a repeated pattern. What could this look like?



Fraction Caterpillars:
The caterpillar has 12 humps.
1/4 are orange-karaka
1/4 are green-kakariki
The humps are in a repeated pattern. What could this look like?
